About Debi:

Debi Cole was born in San Antonio, Texas, and is a sixth generation Texan. She attended Texas Lutheran University and graduated with a BA in Sociology with a minor in History. Enlisting in the Air Force, she served in Transportation at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Osan Korea and Daharan Saudi Arabia, the latter during Desert Storm. After her military career Debi worked as a 911 Dispatcher for thirteen years before retiring. She also drove a public school bus for several years until her military disabilities sidelined her to final retirement. Raised on a farm, her lifelong experience with animals gives her a background which included dogs, horse and cattle. Debi has trained her own horses and dogs for both show and trail. She has been married to the same patient man for over forty years.

About the Homestead:

The unexpected inheritance of the old family farm takes Katie Brieten, a disabled woman Marine, to a place of healing and discovery. Her renovation of her Grand Parents ramshackle house and property give her a new reason for living after the loss of her fiancé and her crippling injuries in Iraq. Then the discovery of a fifty year old murder mystery takes her into the dark side of a small south Texas town and puts at risk all that she has accomplished.
