    Miss Anastasia and SummerMiss Anastasia's wonderful and wacky pre-weekend storytime -- EVERY Friday at 10:30 a.m. Come join her at The Red Balloon for a seriously fun storytime and a delightful craft. Young and old alike will get a real kick out of her highly entertaining storytelling. All ages welcome.

    Summer Reading Stampede
    Summer 2009
    We're fixin' to have the best summer reading round up ever! So lasso all your Deputy Summer Readers and bring 'em down to the Red Balloon. We'll have them doll up their reading patrol logs, write their name on their junior deputy star, and get READING. Prizes awarded for every 10 books read to your kids or by themselves and a chance to win a Red Balloon gift certificate in our weekly Friday storytime drawing. Yippee! We're gonna have a doggone good ole time. AND best of all, it's FREE!!!

    Pirate Day 2009
    Saturday, July 18, 10:30 am
    All pirates and piratettes are hereby ordered to show their filthy faces for a hearty party complete with buried treasure, golden goodies, and hilarious pirate stories! You must attend The Red balloon Annual Pirate Day or you'll miss all the riches we have to offer. All ages welcome.

The Happy Booker  

    Storytime at The School at Mission SpringsThe Red Balloon is pleased to present Paul Rode, "The Happy Booker," to read and tell stories to classes at local elementary schools. Since retiring from the principalship at Cambridge Elementary School, Paul has contributed many hours to sharing stories with schoolchildren. Call him at 653-4329 to schedule a visit.
