Jason Salas is a humorist, cartoonist, writer, and public speaker. He is the creator of "Perk at Work," a comic strip about Perk, a cafe worker, and his interactions with the characters around him. It's these same characters that inhabit Jason's longer works, such as his short stories, novellas, and novels.

Edward Alderette retired from private practice as a psychotherapist after thirty-one years. Prior to this work, he served for six years as a graduate school professor within two university systems (Tulane University Medical School and the Warden School of Social Service at Our Lady of the Lake).
Ken Roberts is retired from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he held the Cullen Chair of Economics. His teaching and research focused on the effects of economic change on rural people, first in Mexico and then in China. He and his family have lived on a ranch outside Liberty Hill, Texas, for more than forty years.

Sue Presnall Dyke was born in Alice, Texas, grew up in Corpus Christi, and graduated from the University of Texas. As the wife of a petroleum engineer, she lived in Texas, West Virginia. Louisiana, and Benghazi, Libya. After the death of her husband, Dyke directed the Women's Shelter in Corpus Christi and later the Women's Shelter in Kerrville. She has served on the staff of Mo Ranch and Schreiner University.
