About Amy Jackson:

Amy Jackson is the founder and director of Starry Sky Austin. Amy’s lifelong dream is to be an astronaut. She studied Recreation and Tourism at Colorado State University, earned a Bachelor of Physics degree from the University of Houston, and has a Master of Science Teaching degree from Rice University. As a mother of three, Amy has over 18 years of experience teaching and working with the public. She has spent the last 8 years following her passion by inspiring Austin and the surrounding communities with hands-on astronomy classes.  Cassandra and the Night Sky is illustrated by Donna Paredes, who happens to by Amy’s mom.

About Cassandra and the Night Sky:

The story of a nine-year-old princess who grows up in a land without stars, a royal tea party and the magic and mythology that lends its voice to the explanation of the legends of the starry night sky.
