Dale and Edna Walsh, and of course their dog Wesley reside in the Texas Hill Country near San Antonio. Dale was born in Goose Creek, Texas near Houston, a town that no longer exists.
After graduating from college, he and Edna met in St. Louis, married, started their family of four children, and now boast eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dale’s telecommunications engineering career hardly suggests he might have interest in writing stories that children enjoy hearing and reading. But, writing became one of his lifelong pastimes.
The Wesley’s Adventure stories star a real dog that lives in a real place. They are written using adult language that will interest and challenge older readers. Nonetheless, the writing style helps younger children listen and enjoy having the stories read to them. The author stirred into the pot some suspense, humor, lore, a few observed animal behaviors, a dash of sadness, a pinch of philosophy, and a heap of pure fiction.
About Wesley's Adventures:
Wesley, barely eight weeks old, came to live with a couple that he knows as Granddad and Gramme. He grew and gradually took upon himself the watchdog role. Wesley, of course, is the star of all the Wesley's Adventure stories. He's a real dog living in a real place.
