Fox Deur, On the Fringes of Perception

From a young age, Angelo Novak had been troubled by dreams of death. When his estranged father is found dead in a forest, he begins to question his nightmares, and their curious correlation to his father's death. This sends him on a quest to unlock the meaning of his dreams, delving deep into the realms of the paranormal along the way, and ultimately discovering a past life of his own. On the Fringes of Perception is in part a coming-of-age tale, following the protagonist as he navigates his way into adulthood, questioning the career path forced upon him, and eventually making a life-changing move to a foreign country. Throughout these events, there is the continual underlying theme of paranormal and religious experiences, of a search for something beyond the physical realm, and the attempt to truly understand an individual's perception of reality.

Fox Deur was born in Lima, Peru in 1977, the son of immigrants. He studied economics at La Universidad de Lima and sociology at Texas State. In Lima, he worked as a financial broker. After moving to Texas in the mid 2000s, he served as a medic in the US Army. He then worked as a school teacher before writing his debut novel in 2020. He currently lives in San Antonio, TX.
