Kevin Greenblat has been working in the visual arts since his studies at Vassar College and Parsons School of Design. While he has taken photographs all around the world, his primary interest in photography remains close to home— telling the stories of people from the places he loves best: Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico. His photographs are archived at the Wittliff Collections in San Marcos. He currently lives in Austin, Texas. This is his first photography book.
About Plant Life of Western Texas:
When I look at a plant, I don’t just see the plant itself. I see a living part of our history. I see how our ancestors learned to thrive in this country. I see the foods and tools that allowed them to feed their families, fall in love, and build their lives and communities. – Excerpt of Foreword by Philipp Meyer.
