Melanie Moran Little is an aspiring author who has always had a love for writing. As a child she relished the times her mother would sit and read to her at night. In her adolescent years she devoured every Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary novel ever written. Her absolute favorite book was The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton. These and many other authors inspired her growing appreciation for the written word. Melanie is a self-proclaimed recovering alcoholic who infuses her work with life lessons, humor and triumphs related to her recovery. In 2010 when she began her walk in sobriety, Melanie made a career decision to pursue her counseling license and begin working with recovering addicts and alcoholics. Her writing touches on her experiences working with clients in treatment for chemical dependency. Her work incites internal struggles through relatable stories of human challenge, and she will never leave the reader without hope.
About Experience Strength and Hope:
Experience, Strength and Hope is a story about perseverance and healing. It touches on elements of the humanness in all of us, bringing a motley group of characters together and creating an unanticipated cohesiveness. Each member of this recovery group reveals their brokenness and vulnerability in a heartwarming story of triumph and hope. In their short treatment journey together, these broken spirits find a spark of something in one another that lifts them up and propels them forward. The unsuspecting counselor, Hope Chadwick, finds herself humbled by the growth she personally experiences along the way. Her belief in one young man, Jesse Sheppard, takes her to the depths of her own recovery journey and ignites a passion for her work. For everyone who reads this story, my hope is that you find a bit of yourself in it and a better appreciation for human diversity.
