About the Author:
At age three, Valerie Varhaug was gliding across the ice in Niagara Falls, New York. Completely taken with the sport, she took lessons, competed, and performed in amateur ice shows throughout childhood. After a surprise move to Texas, Valerie earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She taught elementary students for over thirty years in public and private schools. Valerie also enjoys travel and time with her family. Skatey Katie is her first book.
