Yvette is a cookbook author, recipe developer, blogger, and food photographer. Her writing and photography have appeared on the FYI.TV network, and in Inside Publishing bi-monthly magazines, Inside Northside and Inside New Orleans column “In Great Taste”. As a recipe developer, Zatarain’s brand of spices hired her to develop recipes for product launches and seasonal campaigns. She created her food blog, YDelicacies.com, to share her family’s recipes from Texas and Louisiana, and so she could express her love of photography. She teaches cooking classes in Texas, Louisiana and Florida. Born in south Texas, she spent years cooking with her family and developing written recipes for dishes that have been handed down for generations by cooking together. My South Texas Kitchen is filled with recipes that have made the most memorable meals while gathering with her family. Enjoy this title, her second cookbook, as she continue to add to her cookbook series.
My South Texas Kitchen: Traditional Recipes and Modern Tips is a tribute to the home cooking of multiple generations of my Mexican-American family. The 97 recipes range from breakfast tacos, puffy tacos, enchiladas, tres leches cake, to quirky dips and salads. I welcome you into my South Texas Kitchen where we add a little spice and a lot of love.
